Banana Bread

Ever have a recipe in mind but not enough ingredients? I’ve been there. Most recently, I had some very ripe bananas but not enough to make some banana bread. {I wanted to make up for the last batch of banana bread that I made that was good, but not that good.} Looking at, they can allow for you to adjust recipes to make sure they come out just right with what you got stocked in the kitchen.


  • 2 tablespoons and 2-1/4 teaspoons white sugar
  •  3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  •  1/2 cup and 1 teaspoon butter
  •  2 cups and 1 tablespoon white sugar
  •  2 eggs
  •  4 very ripe bananas, mashed
  •  3/4 (16 ounce) container sour cream
  •  1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  •  1-1/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  •  1/4 teaspoon salt
  •  2 teaspoons baking soda
  •  3 cups and 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour


  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Grease 2 9×3 inch loaf pans. In a small bowl, stir together 1/4 cup white sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Dust pans lightly with cinnamon and sugar mixture.
  2. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar. Mix in eggs, mashed bananas, sour cream, vanilla and cinnamon. Mix in salt, baking soda and flour. Divide into prepared pans.
  3. Bake for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

THIS BATCH WAS AMAZING. I highly recommend it.
