Two’ Day: Places I’m Loving

17 Jul

The past few weeks have been amazing in the sense that I have been able to try a ton of new spots in Miami!

Shake Shack

A week ago, Shake Shack opened its doors to a lucky group of people to savor its delicious ‘fast food’. This spot is unique in the presentation and taste! I was so happy to find out that a location was opening closer to my house.

Their story: Shake Shack began with a small idea: a hot dog cart in Madison Square Park in Manhattan created by Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG) to support the Madison Square Park Conservancy’s first art installation. Due to it’s immediate success,Shack Fans lined up daily for three summers. Crazy!!

In 2004, USHG won the bid to open a permanent kiosk. It was then that the first Shake Shack in the Park was born. This modern day “roadside” burger stand serves up the most delicious burgers and also highlights items such as hot dogs, frozen custard, shakes, beer, wine and more. It was an instant neighborhood success; Shake Shack welcomed people from all over the world who gathered together to enjoy fresh, simple, high-quality versions of the classics.

“The rest, as they say, is burger history.

Ingredients Used:

  • 100% all-natural Angus beef, vegetarian fed, humanely raised and source verified.
  •  No hormones or antibiotics – EVER.

Salumeria 104

Salumeria 104 is located in the Midtown 2 building. After having been introduced to this cozy little Italian spot, I keep coming back! The restaurant’s feel is based on the Italian concept of a trattoria and small neighborhood shop where one can find Italian specialty cured meats and other delicacies, also referred to as a salumi shop. After having ordered the Fettucini al Pesto, I must admit that it was an experience of impeccably authentic Italian food.

If it is your first time, you must try the gnocci frito – this appetizer is unique and absolutely incredible!
