Restaurant Review: Jaguar

9 May

If you haven’t tasted Peruvian food, you’re missing out!!!! Check your local listings and try out some new meals!! If you’re in the Miami area, stop by Coconut Grove and try out this local spot! Jaguar is located at 3067 Grand Avenue  Coconut Grove, FL 33133.

As a fellow Peruvian, it is of no surprise that I have very high expectations of Peruvian restaurants. I have not found a typical place like those back in Lima and Cusco, but the one which is most comparable to the recipes and ingredients of the dishes from there is without a doubt Jaguar. I am always satisfied and content with every meal I have there. It transports me back to savor a piece of home.

Words do not need to describe the flavor and rich taste that resulted from the plates we ordered:

{Peruvian Ceviche}

{Lomo Saltado}

{Tres Leches Bread Pudding – Not a typical Peruvian dish, but oh so good!!}

One day I will write a post about the nature of Peruvian dishes and the genealogy behind certain recipes. The flavors and spices that compose these recipes are unlike any other. I can’t wait to share this with you all!

Until then!

      You’re going to love the Peruvian cuisine! Yes, lots of fish dishes and their specialty is ceviche! There’s a whole ceviche bar and you can try samples by ordering “spoons” of each or getting a sampler!
